Jim has been a MRT since 2004 and has been a member of Washington Ambulance since 2005. Jim has been a member off Warren Fire Department for over 10 years and the reason that he joined Washington Ambulance is that his work frequently finds him in Washington. He currently is the Vice President of Warren Fire & Ambulance and is on the Board of Directors for Litchfield County Dispatch.
Outside of EMS, Jim has many pursuits. He has been a member of the Zoning Board and Vice Chairman of the Cable Television Advisory Council. He and his wife Marcia (also a member of Washington & Warren Ambulance), share a love of animals and live in a "mini zoo". Their pets include two dogs, a cat, two horses, and a mini donkey. In what is left of his spare time, Jim enjoys collecting and restoring old electronic equipment.
For the last 25 years, Jim has owned Schultz Communications. Schultz Communications installs and maintains telecommunications and radio equipment. Jim is Master Electrician in the state of Connecticut and does voice over work for radio, TV, and industry. He has also been a Retail Store Manager and a Broadcaster (Disc Jockey).
